This recipe will heat up your vessel during cold days, fire up your metabolism, aid digestion and leave you glowing.
Winter seems to have hit with full force and some of us struggle with the cold more than others. No matter if you do or not, this spicy Ginger & Turmeric Tea will basically work like a little internal sun (something that anyone can benefit from when the sun is less visible), that will keep you warm and fired up- trust me.
Ingredients:
Organic Ginger Tea Bag or fresh ginger cut into slices
2 Turmeric and Black Pepper Capsules
1 teaspoon maple syrup or organic honey for non-vegans
Directions:
Open the Turmeric capsules and pour the powder into a mug. Add the ginger or ginger tea bag and cover with freshly boiled water. Let the tea infuse for a few minutes and then add the sweetener. While letting it steep, ideally cover with a lid to prevent the essential oils from evaporating.
This tea is EXTREMELY spicy and you will either want to top it up with filtered water if the ginger has steeped for too long or add more natural sweetener.
Additional recommendations:
This tea works extremely well as part of a ritual when combined with Chakra Meditation or Visualisation, especially when focusing on the Sacral Chakra or in order to balance feminine and masculine energy. Both the Sacral Chakra and masculine energy work with the colour yellow and/or the sun as a symbol and can therefore be more tuned when combined with intention and a complementary herbal potion.
