Reishi is known for its adaptogenic properties, in particular as a remedy against stress, anxiety and sleep problems. It has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries and is also said to help allergies and support the immune system.
From all medicinal mushrooms, Reishi is probably the most bitter, which makes integrating it into ones diet not necessarily nice and easy. However, it is rewarding to include this little fungi friend into ones herbal repertoire, due to its various healing properties.
One way to integrate Reishi into one’s routine is to add it to plant milk lattes or teas. A simple way to take it is to bring it along and add it to drinks such as normal coffees or lattes.
This recipe is as simple as it can get.
1 teaspoon Reishi extract
1 shot espresso
1 glass coconut milk
Top up the shot of espresso with plant milk and add Reishi.
Can also be added to lattes that were ordered on the go or served on ice.
