Lilian Buechner, known as Lili, laid the foundation for Nature's Antidote with her profound passion for natural healing. Born and raised in Germany, Lili went on to study Design at the London School Of Arts. Armed with a master's degree in International Fashion Production Management, Lili's path initially seemed destined for the world of fashion.

However, her journey took an unexpected turn in 2014 when she had the rare opportunity to spend a month immersed in the Brazilian Amazon Forest alongside the indigenous Kayapo tribe. Witnessing their profound reliance on herbal remedies ignited a spark within Lili, inspiring her to pivot her focus towards studying herbalism. In 2018, she decided to share what she had learned giving rise to Nature's Antidote. Her business was amongst the first in the U.K. to offer high-quality mushroom and adaptogen extracts.

Sri Lankan Serendipity

In February 2020, during one of her trips to India, Lien made a visit to Sri Lanka, drawn by its world-class waves. However, the start of the pandemic prevented her return to India, leading her to extend her stay in Sri Lanka. It was during this time that she crossed paths with Lili. Recognizing their shared values, complimentary skills, and the potential to create something impactful together, Lili and Lien decided to relocate Nature's Antidote to Sri Lanka.

As for Lili, her connection to Sri Lanka blossomed from a different experience. After visiting the island on holiday, she fell in love with its serene landscapes and vibrant culture. It became evident to her that Sri Lanka was not only the perfect place to learn more about herbal remedies but also to cultivate Nature's Antidote. The onset of the pandemic further solidified her decision to relocate there permanently, embracing the opportunity to immerse herself in the island's rich heritage of herbal medicine and Ayurveda.

Today, as proud residents of Sri Lanka and the leading forces behind Nature's Antidote, Lili and Lien blend their diverse backgrounds and expertise to curate holistic wellness solutions rooted in nature. Their journey from chance encounter - or serendipity?- to strategic partnership captures the company's ethos of embracing collaboration and nature's wisdom for holistic well-being.
